2026 Washington Leadership Conference!

Written by Natalia Hernandez, Historian 26-27. August 31, 2026. San Luis Obispo FFA Members Audrey Harris, Brooke Markowitz, Collin Edwards, and Maddi Holt all attended Week 2 of Washington Leadership Conference, which lasted June 9th, to June 12th, 2026.

Each year, National FFA hosts the Washington Leadership Conference (W.L.C) in Washington DC. W.L.C. is a conference that hones in on community-oriented service, and taking it back to your own community. Students from all across the nation get to travel to DC for a week and experience immersive workshops, exploring the capitol, meeting new people, and real community service projects. The conference’s motto is “To do what we can, what we have, where we are”, and students learned how to do this through creating Living to Serve Plans which are real and achievable community service projects that address a vital need in one’s community developed over the 4 days of the conference.
