Stevie Bates

President

What's up, SLO FFA! My name is Stevie Bates, and I am so excited to serve as your Chapter President! I am a senior, and this is my fourth year in FFA and my third year on the officer team. This year, I will also be serving on the South Coast Regional Officer team as the Sentinel. I’ve competed in competitions like Creed, Impromptu, Prepared, and my favorite: Parliamentary Procedure. For my SAEs, I have shown market swine for eight years, with four years in 4-H and four years in FFA. Additionally, I have engaged in therapy dog work, for which I applied last year and received a regional Proficiency Award. Outside of the blue jacket, you’ll see me playing Water Polo as a Goalkeeper for the high school and the Central Coast Water Polo Club. I also have a passion for making films and hope to use those skills this year. It's been an honor to serve SLO FFA, and I cannot wait for another amazing year!

Mila Shih

Vice President

Hello! My name is Mila Shih and I’m a senior at San Luis Obispo High School. This is my third year in FFA and I’ll be serving as the vice president for your chapter officer team. This upcoming year, I aim to participate in science-related events like the Agriscience Fair and Environmental and Natural Resource Systems CDE, as well as public speaking competitions like Prepared Public Speaking and Parliamentary Procedure. Outside of school, I love to read, make art and music, swim, sit in nature, experiment with plants, and eat great food. If you see me around school, please say hi or give me a wave, because it’s my goal this year to meet as many people as possible! I’m so excited to serve as an FFA officer and look forward to making a positive impact on our chapter and community!

Reagan Eatmon

Secretary

Hi SLO FFA! My name is Reagan Eatmon, and I will be a junior this year. This marks my third year in FFA and my first on the officer team. I have participated in contests such as Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Impromptu Speaking, and Parliamentary Procedure. Some of my SAE projects include raising and showing two market goats for the Mid-State Fair and shadowing different faculty that run the beef, sheep and goat, poultry and swine units at Cal Poly. Outside of FFA, I play soccer for Central Coast United, referee youth soccer games in the fall, and love drinking coffee. I am so excited to serve as your chapter's secretary and look forward to an amazing year!

Kailie Wells

Treasurer

Hey SLO FFA! My name is Kailie Wells and I am a sophomore serving as your 2025-2026 chapter Treasurer. This is my second year in FFA and my first year as an officer. I have competed in a variety of competitions including Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Parliamentary Procedure, and this Fall will be competing in Conduct of the Chapter Meetings at Nationals. My SAE project revolves around my garden work for my elementary school BSFCS. This year I hope to continue my garden work and with the help of my committee, create service opportunities so that everyone can become heroes of our community. Outside of FFA I am a part of the school tennis and mock trials teams. I love traveling, listening to music, and spending time with my family. I am so excited to serve as an FFA officer this year and will strive to encourage, assist, and represent our chapter in the highest degree.

Maddi Holt

Hey SLO FFA, my name is Maddi Holt, I'm going to be a junior this year, and I am serving as your chapter reporter! Over the past 2 years I have competed in contests such as Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Creed, Impromptu, Vet Science, and both Novice and Advanced Parliamentary Procedure. Also during this time I have been showing pigs at the California Mid State Fair both years. This school year I will be pursuing classes in the Agriscience Pathway, Animal Science Pathway, and Agricultural Business Pathway. Outside of FFA I am the Edna 4-H Horse group Teen leader and have been for the past 4 years. This upcoming year I will also be showing pigs at local and state jackpot shows. I’m so excited to serve on this team and see what we can accomplish this year!

Matthew Prater

Sentinel

Hello my name is Matthew Prater and I am in my senior year at San Luis Obispo high school, this is my second year serving on the officer team as sentinel. When I’m not at school, working or welding I enjoy being with my family and enjoying the outdoors through camping. I currently am working at Santa Margarita Feed, delivering or loading hay and feed all over San Luis Obispo County. As I apply to colleges this year I have my eyes set on Cal Poly and will be applying under Agricultural Systems management. As we go into this 2025-2026 school year I hope to bring a light to the officer team that challenges more than just speaking contests but enriching our community with opportunities in agriculture, bringing excitement to our incoming freshman or individuals taking an AG class for the first time.

Collin Edwards

Historian

Grade: 10

What’s up SLO FFA! My name is Collin and I am so hyped to serve as your 2025-2026 Chapter Historian. This year is gonna be my first as both a Chapter and Sectional officer and I am beyond excited for this year of service. Last year, I discovered my passion for FFA through our Animal Science class and I spent my time competing in competitive gymnastics, and debating in Novice Parliamentary Procedure where our Novice Team won first place at State Speaking Finals. This year, I will be competing in Conduct Of Chapter Meetings, Impromptu, and Advanced Parliamentary Procedure. I can confidently say that in this past year I have grown as a leader, and hero! I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for us. SLOFFA let’s work together to cultivate a community of heroes, and strong leaders!

Seven chapter officers are elected annually at our Year End Awards Banquet in May. Candidates must complete an application, participate in an interview, and deliver a speech to the FFA members before the voting process.
