Kailie Wells
President
Grade: 11
Years in FFA: 3
Years on the Officer Team: 2
Hey SLO FFA! My name is Kailie Wells and for this 2026-2027 school year, I am honored to be able to serve as your chapter President! I am a junior and it is my second year on the officer team as well. I am heavily involved in the Advanced Parliamentary Procedure team and am also a speaker in the Prepared Public Speaking competition. My SAE project revolves around doing community service at my old elementary school garden at Bellevue Santa Fe Charter School. Outside of FFA, I am involved in a variety of other things like playing Tennis and being a part of the Wharton Investment Club at our school. I love listening to music, reading, and spending time with my family and friends! As this is my second year serving on this officer team, I plan to set high expectations for myself and to ensure that I act as a true and honest representative of this FFA chapter. One of my favorite sayings can also be found in one of my favorite movies, “Meet the Robinsons,” where they always like to say, “Keep Moving Forward.” These three words have carried me through many difficult times and are how I plan to help this chapter have a successful year. My goal is to ensure that in the face of adversity, we will always “Keep Moving Forward,” and to inspire our members to do the same as well.

Maddi Holt
Vice President
Grade: 12
Years in FFA: 4
Years on the Officer Team: 2
Hey everyone! My name is Maddi Holt, and I will be serving as your 2026-2027 chapter Vice President! I am now going into my senior year at SLOHS and my second year on the officer team. Throughout my years in FFA, I have gotten the opportunity to compete in public speaking events and on teams such as Creed, Extemporaneous, Parliamentary Procedure, and Veterinary Science. I have also been able to attend multiple conferences and serve as both a Regional and State delegate. My SAE Project for this year is raising, caring for, and showing my jackpot pigs. I spend most of my time with my pigs, making sure they are fed properly, walked daily, washed, and ready for each show we attend. Outside of the blue jacket, I serve as an officer for the Edna 4-H Horse group, show my jackpot pigs, and love to hang out with friends. One of my goals for this year is to make FFA feel inviting and welcoming to all members and make our chapter feel like a family. From raising pigs for the California Mid State Fair to competing in public speaking events and hosting leadership events, FFA has truly shaped me into who I am today, and I can’t wait to see how FFA impacts you!

Collin Edwards
Secretary
Grade: 11
Years in FFA: 3
Years on the Officer Team: 2
What’s up SLO FFA! My name is Collin Edwards and this year I have the privilege of serving as your chapter Secretary. I am super excited for all the exciting things my junior year holds, and I can’t wait to get to know all of you. In addition to serving as your chapter Secretary, I’ll also be serving as your San Luis Obispo sectional secretary! Throughout the past 2 years, FFA has empowered me to do so many incredible things, such as the Parliamentary Procedure, Conduct of Chapter Meetings, Veterinary Science, and Extemporaneous Public Speaking contests! My SAE project is raising a swine project for the Mid-State fair, and a pet grooming and care project. Outside of FFA, I work and formerly competed in gymnastics at CCG. I love playing roblox, going to the beach, drinking matcha, and hanging out with friends! One of my favorite quotes is, “It’s not about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain!” with our theme, “Game On!” This year I think it’s important to make the most out of every moment even if it’s difficult, because gaming isn’t about the victory, it’s about enjoying the process! I am looking forward to all the amazing things we’ll get to do together this year!

I have participated in contests such as Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Impromptu speaking, Prepared and Parliamentary Procedure. Some of my SAE projects include raising and showing three market goats for the Mid-State Fair and shadowing different faculty who run the sheep and goat, poultry, and swine units at Cal Poly. I also love playing board games, listening to music, and going outside. I am so excited for my final year in the FFA and the events ahead.

Mallory Cushing
Reporter
Grade: 11
Years in FFA: 3
Years on the Officer Team: 1
What’s up SLO FFA! My name is Mallory Cushing and I’m a Junior. I am so excited and cannot wait to serve as your 2026-27 Chapter Reporter! Within our chapter, I actively compete on the Floral Design and Advanced Parli Pro teams, and have competed on our Impromptu team as well. I also have shown a poultry turkey and market lamb the past two years at the Mid-State Fair. Aside from FFA, I have a love and passion for all things sports photography, so I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to document our year together through my lens. Three things I couldn’t live without are music/concerts, Alani energy drinks, and board games, which is fitting because our chapter theme this year is “Game On!”. I am one of the most competitive people you will ever meet and I absolutely love to win, however I value the cohesive aspect of being a part of a team far more. Because of these values, I love to run for our track team and I am a captain for our girls soccer team at SLOHS! I am looking forward to all of the lasting memories we will create together and I can’t wait to see the positive effect our FFA chapter will have on our community and the world of agriculture!

Georgia Milner
Sentinel
Grade: 11
Years in FFA: 3
Years on the Officer Team: 1
Hey SLO FFA! My name is Georgia Milner, and I am a Junior. This year I will be serving as your 2026-27 Chapter Sentinel! I compete on the Advanced Parliamentary Procedure and Vet Science teams and love all of our public speaking opportunities. I have shown swine for four years, and in my most recent SAE project, I studied how supplementary and colored light affect egg production in laying hens. I play soccer and softball for SLOHS, and I am also serving as a Co-President for our Fellowship of Christian Athletes club! Aside from school and FFA, I love to paint, go on road trips, thrift-flip clothes, serve at my church, and hang out with my friends and family! This year’s theme applies so much to my own life, learning how to push past failures and accept that my worth isn’t found in the end result of a competition. This year, I hope we can learn how to have fun “playing the game” and that the victory isn’t the most important part of an experience. I am so excited for everything in the year ahead, and for meeting you all in our growing chapter and FFA family!
