2026 Mid-State Fair Recap!

Written by Natalia Hernandez, Historian 26-27. August 29, 2026. San Luis Obispo FFA members truly showed up ready to shine at the 2026 California Mid-State Fair. This year, over 80 students raised livestock projects ranging from poultry and rabbits to beef, sheep, swine, and goats. Students enrolled in Livestock Management 1, 2, and 3 fulfilled their summer school requirements through months of hard work, countless hours, and dedication to their projects. On Saturday, July 25th, 90 projects were sold at the Junior Livestock Project auction. Our FFA livestock group is composed of incoming 9th graders through recent graduates and represents every avenue at San Luis Obispo High School. They make up a wide array of leaders at San Luis Obispo High School from Football, Volleyball, Water Polo, Wrestling, Swim, Cross Country, Tennis, Baseball, Rodeo, Cheer, Stunt, Basketball, Soccer to AVID, ASB, Student Senate, DPLA, Theater, HMC, and much more. We are so proud of their diverse backgrounds, strong work ethic, and commitment to making a difference both in and outside the show ring.
