September Meeting:

This past week we had our very first meeting of the year, and it went great! This meeting was held at Taylor Field, where members participating in a variety of games, team building exercises, and ate BBQ cooked by our BBQ committee.  The activities included: Acid Lake, Tarp Turn-over, Doughnut Challenge, saran wrapping, and many more.  Along with these games, we played a surprise game of Kajabe Can-Can.  Any members who wish to see our meeting can watch it through Periscope and short videos, which are located on our Twitter account.  The theme of this meeting was Stay Hungry with Passion through Tradition.  We encourage all of our returning members to continue to be involved, and influence our new members to become involved in our chapter as well.  Older members pass down wisdom and traditions to our younger members, that we trust and hope to be continued to be passed down.  Stay posted for a Recap video to come later this week for the September Meeting!

One of the team building games the team completed, was a skittle passing game. The members had to pass 15 skittles down the row with only using spoons.

Go for the Gold Games:

This weekend our chapter officer team and some other involved members of our chapter competed in Go For the Gold games at Cayucos Beach put on by our sectional officers.  They competed in an array of team building exercises and competitions. There was a water balloon contest, tug of war, and spider web.  They also had to make up chants using their chapter name and were judged on that.  San Luis Obispo took home second overall, and had a great time bonding with their chapter members.  The SLO Sectional Officer Team did amazing and we are very proud of our own members apart of the team, Lindsey MacLeod and Hailey Robella.  Their enthusiasm, dedication, and work ethic really paid off to put on this enjoyable event which helped members create tangible relationships with other chapters!

Overall our team had an amazing time full of fun, team bonding, and meeting new people.
